Local Canberra community organisation SEE-Change, in collaboration with Switched on Cycles, are running an electric bike bulk buy that could save you as much as $300 on a new electric bike. “During the month of May if you join as a SEE-Change member, you will receive a 15% discount on an electric bike from Switched on Cycles. The only catch is that we need at least 10 people to participate. The discount also applies to kits if you’re looking to retrofit an existing bike or kit out a cargo bike” SEE-Change Project Officer, Brook Clinton.
SEE-Change have run multiple instances of the bulk buy since 2014, with previous feedback indicating that electric bikes are a great way to get into cycling for new riders. ‘Ebikes provide a level of comfort and independence that make them an enviable transport option, while still being extremely cheap to maintain as compared to a car” said Brook Clinton.
“With the ACT government spending some stimulus funds on better bike paths throughout Canberra it’s a great time to consider an electric bike”
