Donation of an E-retro bike to fundraising event

In November, we were asked to donate a prize to a Department of Environment and Energy fund raising event to raise money for the NSW Motor Neurone Disease Foundation. We donated an E-retro bike and received this thanks as follows, from the organisers:

"This email is to thank you once again for Switched on Cycles generous major raffle prize donation of an e-retro (worth $2300). I thought it might be useful to provide you with some of the details of the event and the great outcomes that your donation helped us achieve!

On Wednesday 20 November 2019, the Department of the Environment and Energy came together to attend the Scott Lisle Memorial Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Ice Bucket Challenge. Scott Lisle was a long-time employee of the Department and sadly passed away in 2016 from MND. Your generous donation allowed us to raise funds for NSW MND Foundation to help raise awareness and find a cure for MND. This year we reached a number of milestones:

- The Department raised a total of $11,644.25 for the NSW MND Foundation - this is the first year since 2016 that we have reached the 10K fundraising goal

Several hundred staff attended the event in one of the events largest recorded turnouts, including staff from Kakadu and the Australian Antarctic Division from Hobart.

Thanks again for your generous support of our event, the e-retro was very popular and helped us raise a significant amount of money for a cause close to our hearts. We hope you will keep us in mind and consider supporting future MND Ice Bucket Challenges run by the Department to continue to raise money for such a worthwhile cause".
